Adaptive Mixed Coding Based on Visual Property

Studies of image coding have shown that the human eye is the(?)mate judge of the image quality,the image is a nonstatic process and everycoding technique has its own merits and demerits.Starting from these concep-tions,an adaptive mixed coding method based on the visual property is descr-ibed.Different coding techniques are applied to the sub-blocks with differentcharacteristics.The reason for chosing a certain technique is given,And spe-cifically,an efficient coding method for single strongly-changed edge is pres-ented.Simulated results are satisfactory,The authors argue that a clever com-bination of coding techniques under the guidance of the human visual propertyis one of the important ways to reach high compression ratio with good subje-ctive image quality,
