河南淇河鲫Carassius auratus的生物学

THE BIOLOGY OF CARASSIUS AURATUS IN THE QI HE OF HENAN

A biological study of Carassius auratus,including age and growth,feeding hab-it,reproduction,obeseness,biochemical composition of muscle,fluctuation of themetric and numeral characters etc.,was made during the year 1980 to 1984.The age of this fish was determined by means of counting the annual rings ofthe scales.The time of the annulus formation is in the breeding season,namely,from March to August. Carassius auratus is an omnivorous fish.Intestinal contents examination revealed that food items consist of vegetable and animal material,though vegetablematerial is the chief component throughout the year.A sex-ratio of six females to one male is the normal for adults.Six maturation stages of ovary were described.The ovary develops to the 3ndstage and remains as such during the winter.The results of analysis were that the water content of muscle in this fish is79.4%,protein—19.16%,fat—1.18%.
