基于对英译汉实践以及对语言学术语汉译的了解,就汉译英语语言学术语的使用与理解进行了讨论。汉译术语的使用,统一是要实现的目标,但也应允许不同译文的出现和使用,因为术语的统一是在使用中经过选择与沉淀而实现的。对汉译术语的甄别和校正,应对照原文,而不是只考虑汉译文,更不应当凭个人对汉译文的理解去发挥、延伸。

Use and Understanding of Chinese Version of English Linguistics Terms

The paper presents a tender idea about the use and understanding of the Chinese version of linguistics terms. It argues that it is no doubt that the unification of the Chinese version of the terms is ideal, but the realization of the ideal should allow the coexistence of the different versions of the terms because the unification of the terms emerges from actual uses, as well as through choices and entrenchment. As for the understanding of the Chinese version of the terms in linguistics, the paper suggests that the correction and revision of the Chinese version of linguistics terms must make a reference to the original terms rather than their Chinese versions.
