| Abstract: | The design and characteristics of a flow-through electrochemical detector packed with carbon fibres are described. The multiple carbon fibre microelectrode array provides high analytical currents owing to the combination of the high surface area with high mass-transport rates. The detector shows higher sensitivity and less convective effects on the faradaic current than the typical electrochemical detectors. |
