A NEW TECHNLQUE FOR COMPUTING CLIMATOLOGICAL POWER SPECTRA

A new technique for computing climatological power spectra based on the concept of utilizing non-integer of wave number is developed. This techniques used in the computation of climatological power spectra. At the same time, it gives more precise period in the periodic analysis of the climatological series. Another advantage of this technique is that it is easy to be calculated, so it is anticipated that this technique will have wide applicability in climatology, meteorology, hydrology and other geophysical sciences.
