透过“颜”外之“意”看英汉文化差异

尽管英汉民族对自然色彩具有共同的生理感知,但由于受到不同社会文化背景的影响和制约,英汉民族在颜色词的理解和使用上存在着巨大的差异。笔者通过对英汉颜色词象征意义的分析,探寻颜色词所折射出的不同文化差异。

An Analytical Study of Cultural Differences by Color Terms

Although having the same physiological perception towards colors,people,affected by different cultural context,may form very different conceptions and thus create variations in usage of color terms.The paper compares symbolic meanings of color terms between Chinese and English on the purpose of going to the root of the two deferent cultural contexts.
