Design and Implementation of Intelligent Knowledge Acquirement Interface

This paper presents the design and implementation of an intelligent knowledge acquirement interface-IKAI. It makes construction and maintenance of the knowledge base easier and more effective by adopting visual knowledge representation so as to allow domain expert to construct the knowledge base directly. Used as an intelligent computer human interface, IKAI enhances the flexibility of the system by implementing three interface forms for different users, reduces the complexity of the system by developing a software agent to lead users to use the system step by step, and helps users automatically by tracking operation context. IKAI can even "speak" to users thanks to the integration of text to speech technology.
