| Abstract: | The development of western medicine in Yunnan experienced three phases. The pioneer for the development wes the church, the railway from Burma to Yunnan brought a climax for establishing hospitals of western medicine in Yunnan, and the hospitals of western medicine along the main highways developed fast during the anti -Japanese war. |
