| Abstract: | A biosystem of waterhyacinth and its rhizosphere bacteria (Pseudomonas sp.No 5) was studied. The bacteria showed positive chemotaxis towards sugar, aminoacidand some unidentified substances of waterhyacinth; and were negative towardsribose, phenol and culture medium of waterhyacinth. These results showed thatthe reaction and mechanism of this system were complex and non-specific. |
