| Abstract: | The contents of RNA and DNA in the flower buds of two apple cul-tivars(Malus pumila Mill.cv.Ralls and cv.White winter pearmain)weremaintained at very low levels during dormancy,the contents increased se-veral times in bursting.There existed the activities of acid RNase(pH_5.0),alkaline RNase(pH7.5)and DNase in the flower buds and their activitiesincreased markedly during the development of flower buds.The highestactivities of RNA and DNA synthesis in the flower buds of both cultivarswere shown at dormancy breaking,the activities were relatively low atdormancy and bursting. |
