Abstract:First discussed are the problems in which the equations are in ill-condition and the components are difficult to separate but the components in mathematic models are closely related. Then, a synthetic analysis method for the in-situ observed data of dams is proposed. Its key points are as follows. The straight analysis, inverse analysis and 3-D FE methods are synthetically used to separate each component from observed values, and the working behaviour of the dam is judged by using the variation law of time effect component. Finally, the method is applied to analyse the observed data of a gravity arch dam whose observed values are changing in the initial stage of water impoundment, and the result obtained conforms to the realistic working state of the dam.
