| 摘 要： | 从历史角度阐述了美国英语的起源，并从美国英语的发展过程中总结出几大特点，如美国英语对古英语特征的保留，丰富的创造性，对多民族语言的吸收融化，以及对俚语的广泛使用等等，从语言学和词汇学的角度探讨了美国英语形成的特有的语言特色及发展趋势。
