Something Happened is Joseph Heller＇s second novel ,a typical black humor fiction, which was published in 1974, thirteen years after Catch-22. It depicts a inner world Of panic, suspicion,anxiety and reflects the ego loss, mental suffering and desperation of contemporary American middle class by its main character , Bob Slocum＇s stream of consciousness narrative about his job, his family and so on.
