Analysis about Ban and Salvation on the Cantonese Films of Guangzhou during the Republic of China

In 1936, with reference to the political and real situation, the Nanjing National Government promulgated an injunction about Cantonese films. Consequently, the Southern China Film Association carried out a plethora of activities to protect Cantonese films. Apparently, the local government sacks up against the central government at the issue of forbidding immediately or later. As a result of the positively mediating of Guangzhou government and the eruption of Anti-Japanese War, the Nanjing National government was unable to execute the ban policy. Ultimately, there was no win-win for the local and central government, when it comes to the movement on protects the Cantonese films.
