英诗赏析:形式与内容的完美结合

分行排列、尾韵、格律等是诗歌区别于其它文学类别的主要外在表现形式。从传统的研究角度看，诗歌的这些“外部”手段对诗歌内含的意义本身几乎没有什么影响，即形式与内容的高度独立。但事实上，许多诗人正是利用了诗歌特有的表现形式对他们所要转述的内容或表达的思想施加影响，甚至这些表现形式本身就是内容的重要组成部分。

The Perfect Combination of Form and Content in English Poetry

Layout by lines, alliteration, rhyme, rhythm, etc. are the main forms which differentiate Poetry from other styles of literary works. Traditional study shows that these external forms have no influence on the meaning of the Poetry; in other words, form and content are absolutely separated. But in fact, many poets take advantage of these unique external forms to influence or strengthen what they intend to convey in their Poems. Sometimes, these external forms alone can be a most significant part of the poems themselves.
