| Abstract: | This paper advances a new method to compute the thickness of sandstone using the data of seismic and well log. First, the pattern recognition is used to ascertain the position of the sandstone, then multiple parameters are used to compute the accurate thickness of the sandstone by utilizing the artificial neural network. This method has been already put into use. An oil well has been discovered in Guangxi. |
