Abstract:In this paper, two open-pit mining areas in Guangxi were taken as the study area to monitor the reserves of mineral resources. The application of low altitude UAV tilt photogrammetry technology in mineral reserves monitoring was discussed for providing scientific data support for the effective protection, development and utilization of mineral resources. Based on ArcGIS and Context Capture, the two methods of extracting elevation points by ArcGIS for DTM mining area production reserve calculation and mineral reserve calculation based on context capture software were described in detail, and then the combination of emerging technology and traditional mature technology were used to realize the reserve monitoring of open-pit mining area. Finally, the accuracy comparison of the two methods was completed under the condition that the product accuracy met the specification requirements. The experimental results show that: 1) two different methods were used to monitor the mineral resources reserves in two mining areas, and the error percentages are 6.17% and 0.05% respectively, and the relative errors satisfy the specification requirements; 2) UAV tilt photography technology can be used for dynamic monitoring of mineral resources reserves. On the basis of simplifying the operation process, this technology can realize low-cost, fast and dynamic monitoring of mining reserves, and provide scientific data support for the management of relevant departments and the development and utilization of mineral resources.
