| Abstract: | Examining the recent Gulf war and expounding the strategic role and the decisive effects of air attacks and air deiense battles on the progress and result of a modern war, this article discusses development trends of air defense systems, and merits and shortcomings resulting from use of surface-to-surface tactical missiles, and predicts that there will be rapid development of missile technology and upgrade in performances of these missiles. |
