| Abstract: | A new method for calculating the torsional vibration is proposed. A system with multiple degrees of freedom is treated as many one degree of freedom systems by putting the torsional vibration system into a grey box and continuously moving the window of the box. The rate of convergence of the method is fast. The analytic solutions for both four and five degrees of freedom have been derived against the current situation of only three degrees of freedom for an analytic solution. |
