| Abstract: | This paper expounds the differences between traditional market town and the village and historic and realistic significance of studying on traditional market towns in Shanxi Province, introduces the situation of prosperity and development of Shanxi's traditional market towns in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and analyses on the functions, present situations and features of local traditional market towns. |
