Abstract: | Ascorbic acid and glutathione concentrations increase in brown fat of cold-exposed rats. This phenomenon can be reproduced by noradrenaline or isoproterenol administration, and thus seems to be under sympathetic control. Histological study shows ascorbic acid storage in brown adipocyte nuclei. |
