忽必烈与云南

忽必烈既是元朝的建立者,也是影响元朝一代统治的杰出帝王。他亲自率军平定大理国,并结下深厚的云南情结。为了构筑用兵中南半岛的基地,并大量汲取云南的各类资源,忽必烈先后派第五子忽哥赤和重臣赛典赤经营云南。在忽必烈的精心指导和积极支持下,赛典赤对云南的治理取得成功,云南再次统一于中央王朝的版图,并出现安定繁荣的局面。忽必烈治理云南的贡献,还表现在成功地实现管理制度方面的重大变革,如云南正式成为中央直辖下的一省,并与中央政府建立直接的密切联系;自中庆入湖广达大都驿道的开通,为明代建立贵州省准备了条件;创立成效显著的土官制度,由此开创边疆治策多样化的时期,同时启动了对南部边疆的深入经营与全面开发。

Kublai Khan and Yunnan

Kublai Khan was the founder of Yuan Dynasty and also an outstanding emperor influencing the government of that time. He himself led his army to conquer Dali State and founded deep Yunnan complex. In order to construct military mid-south peninsula base and get all kinds of resources from Yunnan, Kublai Khan assigned his fifth son, Hugechi, and his important minister, SaiDianchi, to manage Yunnan. Under Kublai Khan＇s careful instruction and active guidance, SaiDianchi successfully governed Yunnan. Yunnan come into the central government again and made a prosperous and safe situation. The government contribution to Yunnan under Kublai Khan＇s control showed as the followings： He successfully innovated the government system. Yunnan officially became a province under central government and built a direct close contact with central government. The opening up of route from Kumning to Beijing via HuGuang regions prepares the precondition of founding Guizhou Province. Founding an efficient local official system, so as to open a period of various frontier government policies, and launch a full management and explore in Yunnan at the same time.
