| Abstract: | The building names usually use simple words with meanings to the utmost possible degree. Through the analysis of the composition, rhyme, rhetoric, semantic and other pragmatic features of the building names in Changsha, this paper finds that the naming of the buildings is affected by the language economic factors and social economic factors, and that it also underlines the trace of the city＇s economic development. |
