Abstract:A systematic investigation of the influence of acidity and basicity of several aqueous systems on the coagulation removal of fluorine by aluminum sulfate has been performed. Obvious regularities have been obtained,and thus optimum conditions of the acid acidity and basicity have been achieved. Possible mechanisms of the removal of the fluorine in these conditions have been theoretically discussed based on the distribution of hydrolyzable aluminium of the hydrolysis reaction and theories of colloid chemistry.
