Abstract:The characteristics of overburden damage in coal mining are of great significance to the prevention and control of water and gas in coal mines. Numerical simulation test is a very good test method for overburden failure characteristics. In this paper, the numerical simulation research methods of coal mining overburden failure and six kinds of coal mining overburden failure characteristics are described in detail. The shortcomings of numerical simulation research methods of coal mining overburden failure characteristics are analyzed, and the problems of numerical simulation research methods of coal mining overburden failure characteristics are pointed out. It is proposed that the future numerical simulation should combine green mining and intelligent mining technology to develop new simulation modules. It is suitable for the development of coal mine technology; in the future, visual three-dimensional simulation model should be developed to reduce the characteristics of overburden failure in the mining process with high strength, so as to improve the simulation accuracy; in the future, numerical simulation should integrate multiple influencing factors of overburden failure, optimize the reasonable determination method of mechanical parameters of coal and rock mass, introduce new thinking methods and mathematical tools, so as to improve the accuracy of simulation results; in the future, numerical model The creep characteristics of soft rock under high ground stress should be considered, which is very important to ensure the long-term stability of mining engineering.
