论公示语英译的功能对等观

功能对等原则以目的语和目的语文化为依归，以译文和译文读者为中心，以译意为核心的翻译理念，非常适合公示语此类实用文体的翻译。结合金华市公示语翻译中存在的问题，探讨如何在功能对等原则指导下，实现公示语汉英翻译在信息、文体和跨文化交际等方面的对等。

Fulfilling Functional Equivalence in the C-E Translation of Public Signs

Based on target language and target culture, centered on translated text and target readership, and with translating meaning as its core, ＂Functional Equivalence＂, a translation principle proposed by Eugene Nida, can be applied to the translation of public signs, and the other practical materials. Under the guidance of this very principle, through analyzing the problems in the translation of the public signs of Jinhua city, this paper looks into the approaches for the fulfillment of equivalent effect in information, style, and cross-cultural communication in C-E translation of public signs.
