| 摘 要： | 论述"休"、"闲"二字的原初构形意图,梳理二者意义发展的线索及其与相关字词的意义联系。指出休的字形构意与表示哺乳的乳字有相似之处,人对自然物的依赖犹如小孩对母亲的依赖,是文章的一个亮点。

| Abstract: | This paper studies the original pictograph of Xiu(休) and Xian(闲)to illustrate the changing of meaning of these two characters as well as their relation to other characters.For example,the structure of Xiu bears resemblance to Ru(乳 breasts) as in Bu Ru(哺乳 breastfeeding).The highlight of this paper is to point out that human beings rely on nature in a way of children relying on mother. |
