台湾地区实施地方选举的政治分析

国民党退踞台湾之后，在政治上、经济上、军事上及“外交”上面樯着内外交困的局面，对国民党政权的生存造成极大的挑战。为了巩固政权，建立其统治的“正当性”，国民党在台湾建立二元政治体系，以党国威权体制控制政治、经济、社会和文化各层面，而将基层选举作为巩固威权统治的机制。从国民党对地方选举制度的设计以及操纵选举的策略分析中，我们可以看出，国民党在台湾实施地方选举，其目的就是为了能够有效地达到社会控制与政权统治。
