高职院校学生英语学习策略实证调查与研究

摘    要:通过调查问卷分析和访谈等定量和定性相结合的研究方法。结果显示:学生使用学习策略总体频率属中等,使用频率最高的是情感策略;各策略之间有十分显著的相关,其中元认知策略和交际策略之间的相关极其显著;情感策略与B级成绩之间的相关程度最高,元认知策略与B级成绩之间的相关性程度最低;母语策略使用频率较高,对英语学习造成负面影响。根据调查研究结果,提出改进教学建议。

Abstract:The present paper looks into the situation and characteristics of usage on English language learning strategies (LLSs) about students in higher vocational college by quantitative study (questionnaire) and qualitative study ( group interview), explores the correlations between LLSs and the performances on Practical English Test (PRET). The re- sults show as follows: students apply strategies more or less in their learning process with moderate frequency, the high- est frequency lies in affeetive strategies; there exists remarkable statistical significance among five strategies, the most of which is between metacognitive strategies and communicative strategies; the most striking correlation is found be- tween affective strategies and PRET, the lowest metacognitive; mother tongue strategy is used in high frequency by Chi- nese students, which causes negative effect on language learning. On the basis of the survey, suggestions are put for- ward for improving studentslearning of English.
