谈大学英语教学中学生自学能力的培养

注重培养学生英语自学能力是实现大学英语教学目的的保证，对普通高等院校培养应用型人才有重要意义。本文提出了培养学生独立获得知识能力的方法，对训练学生充分利用词典、构词分析和句法分析、推断以及论证等方面的能力进行了探讨。指出培养阅读能力是培养自学能力的关键，并入出了培养阅读能力的新方法。

Fostering the Students' Ability of Studying on Their Own in College English Teaching

Fostering the students' ability of studying on their own is the guarantee to reach the aim of college English teaching. It is of momentous significance to foster the applied qualified personnel. This thesis puts forward some methods of fostering the students' ability of acquiring knowledge on their own.Some views on training the students'ability of using dictionaries,analysing the word-building and the sentence structure ,the deducing and the exponding are approached. It also points out that fostering the students' reading ability is the key to fostering their ability of studying on their own. And new methods for fostering the students' reading ablilty are put forward.
