Abstract:The Raman scattering was excited by an Argon ion laser with wavelength of488 nm. Nitrogen was used as a proble molecule to determine the temperature ofgas-air flame. The value of the temperature was determined parametrically by thecurve-fitting procedures in which the experimental data were fitted to the calculatedspectral contours obtained from the convolution of theoratical radiant fluxwith the monochromator slit function. Also the slit function was determinedexperimentally.
