| Abstract: | In this paper,the microstrainer,which is researched and produced by the Department of Civil Engineering and the Mechanical Works of Hunan University and used as a filtration process in China waterworks practice
since 1982. is described.A brief introduction is given to the equipment and filtering media used,as well as to the principies on which the design of microstraining installlations is based.Details are also given of a large
number of cases where the microstraining has been successfully employed
in solving water,industrial effluent and sewage purification problems,either
in combination with other filtration systems or as a sole filtration agent. |
