| Abstract: | Summary Pancreatic slices incubated in glucose medium take up oxygen and glucose and liberate pentose, pyruvate and proteins. Thiamine deficiency decreases oxygen consumption but increases liberation of pentose, pyruvate and proteins by pancreatic slices. |
