The Experiment for Determining Unsaturated Soil's Hydraulic Diffusivity with Horizontal Soil Column Method

The hydraulic conductivity,which is an important indicator for the water movement in unsaturated soil,is an essential parameter for the study on the transformation rule of surface water-soil water-groundwater,the forecast and prediction of farmland soil moisture and the study on the movement rule of regional water and salt.This paper introduces the experimental methods,experimental apparatus and experimental procedures of the horizontal soil column method in determining soil’s hydraulic conductivity,makes detailed record of the whole course and conclusion data of the experiment of the soil specimen in a certain area,and makes analytical comparison of the experimental results.
