摘    要:介绍了新型探测器多气隙电阻板室(Multi-gap Resistive Plate Chamber,MRPC)在中国十多年的发展.伴随着在相对论重离子对撞机(Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider,RHIC)上STAR实验的成功运行和在带电粒子鉴别方面的突出作用,MRPC技术在高能核与粒子物理领域逐渐得到广泛应用,有力地促进了相关物理课题的研究.

Abstract:We review the development of a new type gaseous detector,MRPC(Multi-gap Resistive Plate Chamber,MRPC) in the last decade in China.With the successful operation in the STAR experiment at RHIC(Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider,RHIC) and the outstanding importance in charged particle identification,the MRPC technology has gained extensive interest and progress in the high-energy nuclear and particle physics.
