| 摘 要： | 美国是一个种族成份复杂的移民国家。自殖民地建立至今，种族歧视问题的形成更多地掺杂着历史、化和政治等诸多因素。对白人种族优越论及美国历史进程中形成的天赋使命感和种族歧视的实质逐一作了分析。

| Abstract: | America is a nation melted with a variety of immigrants. Racial problems, just like an incurable and impenetrable disease, have been eroding the basic value systems based on which the nation was founded. The present situation interweaves with historical, cultural and political factors. The paper aims to find a tentative explanation from the perspective of the White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) Superiority Theory, the sense of Divine Mission, which was strengthened with the progress of American territorial expansion, and the history of discrimination during the process of the westward expansion. |
