| Abstract: | A member of the Japanes new sensation group, Kawabata Yasunari has blazed a trail in literature by basing his literary creation on the traditional aesthetics of Japanese Literature and trying stream of consciousness and many other techniques of expression in western literature. An overall study reveals that his novels are characterised by the beauty of the feminine tenderness,originality of literary themes, images and techniques of expressions, harmony of feelings and settings and personification of nature. |
