Abstract:This paper reports the flame-retardation mechanism of triphenyl phosphate ( TPP), bromocarboxylate (HB - 1), chlorinated paraffin - 50 (CP - 50) and/or decabro-modiphenyl oxide (FR -10) in acid anhydride cured epoxy resin. TPP, TPP - HB- 1 or TPP -CP - 50 acts primarily with a rapor - phase mechanism, halide(HB-1 ,CP-50, FR -10) or TPP-FR-10 acts primarily with a condensed - phase mechanism. The studying method is thermal analysis(TG and DSC).
