番木瓜性别鉴定方法研究

摘    要:番木瓜雌雄异株,有雄株、雌株和两性株3类植株.雄株不结果,在生产上是无用的,雌株的果实不如两性株的果实市场价值高,因此,从经济效益考虑,对番木瓜植株进行性别鉴定是十分必要的.但番木瓜性别分化和性别表现较迟,这给番木瓜性别早期鉴定带来很大困难.多年来,人们一直在寻求早期鉴定番木瓜性别的方法.目前已经产生了一些番木瓜性别鉴定方法,本文系统研究分析番木瓜性别鉴定方法及其进展.

Abstract:Papaya is a dioecious fruit which has male,female and hermaphrodite plants.Male plants are useless in papaya commercial production because they don't bear fruits.Pear-shaped fruits from hermaphrodite trees are preferred on the market over spherical fruits from female plants.Thus,for economic purposes,sex identification of papaya plants at the seedling stage is necessary.However,it is very difficult for sex determination of papaya seedlings because morphological phenotypes of the seedlings of the three sex types have not visible difference.For many years,much effort has been made to obtain a method for the early identification of the sex of seedlings and some methods have been developed.Six methods for papaya sex identification were introduced in this review.
