Inlaying is a key step in the specimen preparation process for the metallographic research process and it can be realized through various methods such as mechanic inlaying,resin inlaying and special inlaying.Thermal pressure method is part of resin inlaying,for which thermosetting resin is widely used.The important raw materials usually used in such thermosetting resin are bakelite,and metallographic specimen inlaying machine will be used in the same process.Therefore only a full understanding of the features of bakelite and the specialty of the inlaying machine and a correct operation of inlaying machine will assure a safe and effective inlaying of metallographic specimen.
