单幅水下图像的能见度复原算法

摘    要:在水下环境中,由于光线的吸收和散射效应使得获取图像的清晰度严重降低.为恢复水下图像原始的清晰度,分析了能见度降低的物理成因,提出了一种逆图像形成过程算法.将单幅水下图像的能见度复原看成是一种特殊的滤波问题,使用中值滤波来推导水遮盖物浓度图.该算法可以消除浑浊水对图像质量的影响,能够恢复图像原始的清晰度.主要优点是它的速度快,其计算复杂度与图像像素数目成线性关系,能适用于实时处理.

Abstract:In underwater situations,clarity of images are degraded by light absorption and scattering.In order to restore the original clarity of the images underwater,we analyze the physical effects of visibility degradation,and present an algorithm which inverts the image formation process.In this paper,we consider the visibility restoration from a single underwater image as a particular filtering problem and use median filter to infer water veil.The main advantage of the proposed algorithm is its speed: its complexity is a linear function of the number of image pixels only.This speed allows visibility restoration to be applied within real-time processing applications.In this way,the effect of turbid water can be removed and the original clarity of images can be unveiled.
