Research on the Application of the Case Method to Applied Writing Teaching

The case method has been effectively practiced in Harvard Business School, which makes it one of the most popular and successful teaching model representing the development trend of future education. This approach has been applied in institutions of higher education and secondary schools in our country since the 1990s. The application of the case method has exerted great promoting effect on the reform of teaching theories and approaches. This article gives a detailed explanation of necessity, practice, advantages and problems concerning operation when the case method is introduced into teaching practical writing. This writer aims to make some exploratory study of effective approaches to teaching applied writing, which may bring further quality improvement in teaching writing.
