| 摘 要： | 英汉两种语言在表达形式和内容上不是一一对应，英语中的一些表达形式和概念在汉语中可能是空缺。反之，亦然。本对词汇空缺及其翻译做了一些探讨。

| Abstract: | English and Chinese languages are not always equivalent to each other in lexis a nd the way of expressing. Some lexes and ways of expressing in English are proba bly vacant in Chinese, and vice versa. This article does some research on transl ation of lexical vacancy from Chineses to English and English to Chinese. |
