| Abstract: | This paper reviews three studies on strength of the illocutionary force of performing complaint.It is shown that different scholars examine the preconditions for performing complaint with various degrees of strength of the illocutionary force from various perspectives.The drawbacks of previous research are also analyzed in this review. |
