科学与宗教之争已经持续了数个世纪。通过理论分析与案例研究，可以发现，二者冲突的根源乃是决断本体论问题进而建立意识形态的野心。为达成这一目的，科学与宗教都非法地扩张了它们的地盘并侵入了哲学的领域。若是它们对哲学问题能保持谦抑的态度，其间的冲突也许更有可能得以消解。

On the Root of the Conflicts Between Science and Religion

The conflicts between science and religion have been lasting for centuries, and tend to be sharpened in the contemporary world. It is important to inquire whether the conflicts are inevitable. If not, how to keep them harmonious. Through analysis and case studies, we could find that the root of the conflicts is the ambition to close ontological issues and establish ideologies. To achieve this goal, both science and religion extended their domains illegally and trespassed on the territory of philosophy indelicately. Once they both maintain a modest attitude towards philosophical issues, this kind of con- flicts will be eliminated.
