说“俭”

＂俭＂,作为一个道德伦理范畴由来已久,本义当为自我约束、自我克制,使自己的思想、行为不放肆,突出人的内在修养。由此引申为节俭、俭省,是说人们生活消费的节约、俭朴而不事奢侈浪费,这其实就是一种生活观和消费观。这种观念赖以产生的经济基础是自给自足的自然经济。在我国市场经济飞速发展的今天,再让人们回到自给自足的小农经济时代是不可能的,但人们追求生活美好、幸福,不断改善生存质量的任何时候,倡导节约俭朴、摒弃浮华奢侈却永远不失其价值和意义。

As a category of ethnics morality,thrift boasts a long history.With many literal meanings,the word thrift originally means self-discipline,self-restraint and the effort to behave oneself in both thoughts and con-ducts,emphasizing the importance of self-cultivation.The extended meaning of thrift is economization,which is a kind of lifestyle and consumption concept,demanding people to lead a life without extravagance and waste.The concept of thrift is rooted in the economic basis of the autarky natural economy.With the rapid development of market economy,it is definitely impossible to go back to the times of natural economy.However,the advocacy of thrift and the discard of extravagance and waste can never be obsolete in the pursuit of happiness and a higher quality of life.
