Comparison and Development of the Stainless Steel and Aluminum Alloy Body in Railway Vehicles

The materials selection for bodies of urban railway vehicles is one of thesignificant subjects concerned with＂safety, reliability,high speed,lightweight,economy and applicability＇in the operation.Combined with the current domesticnrban rail transport vehicles and the use of car selection,the article analyses andcompares the stainless steel,aluminum alloy body of material and structural characteristics with respect to foreign experience.It also explored the development direction of two ear body material,which provides the reference for the selection of thesematerials.
