| 摘 要： | 工业文明奠基者———英国,曾开创了近代的城市文明。在商业化和工业化的驱动下,英国人口迅疾从农业区向工业区迁移,人口急剧膨胀,引发了住房、就业、公共卫生、环境等"城市病"。英国城市化之路历经坎坷,然而英国以问题为先导,以渐进式、多管齐下的改革为特色,最终走出困境,探索出极具特色的整治城市病的模式。

| Abstract: | Great Britain not only created industrial civilization, but also ushered urban civilization. The British urbanization process had faced great challenges, suffered some misfortunes and encountered a lot of setbacks. Eventually, the United Kingdom paid a very high price to extricate itself from an awkward predicament and formed its distinctive pattern of urbanization. |
