As the English homepages are gradually becoming a vital part of university libraries in China,its translation inevitably turns out to be an important task which cannot be ignored.Connecting with several examples,this paper analyzes and probes into some common language problems occurring in the translation of English homepages from five aspects of simplicity,politeness,consistency,accuracy and common phrases.
