| 摘 要： | 本文是关于湖南大学理工科学生英语口语水平的一项实验研究。这次水平测试对象涉及从本科生到博士生五个水平层次。评分采取三维量化,现场与事后两次性交叉进行。结果表明本项测试的信度、效度均较高,反映了我校理工科学生英语口语表达能力之现状,为日后加强口语教学提供了一些事实依据。本文还就口语测试客观化问题进行了讨论。

| Abstract: | This paper is a report on the oral English proficiency of stu-dents of science and engineering from undergraduates to doctoral candidates inHunan University. The test, which was scored by five skilled raters in accor-dance with a three-dimensional, quantitative criterion during and after it, isproficiency-oriented and designed to measure five levels of proficiency frominitial to advanced. Results show that both the reliability and the validity ofthe test are high, by which we may draw the conclusion that it statisticallyrepresents the status quo of the students' oral proficiency in our school.
